Encrypted Email Procedures
We wanted to make you aware of a new email procedure effecting emails sent externally to our policy holders.
This system will automatically be able to detect when an email contains sensitive information and it will become encrypted. When the email arrives in your inbox, it will arrive encrypted, showing our PLM logo, the name of the PLM sender, and a bit of text explaining the email and how to open it.
The View Message button will take you to our PLM portal to confirm that you are the intended recipient.
You will then need to confirm your identity using a 1-time passcode or credentials depending on your email service.
Make sure to check the box to keep yourself logged in on your computer so that you won’t have to reauthenticate for email chains.
All emails can then be viewed and contents downloaded if needed.
