Recent PLM Promotions
PLM continues to grow and it’s due to the hard work of our team. We are proud to share the promotions of three of our team members, John Marazzo, Steve Hicks and Ed Nowak. Marazzo will now serve as Senior Vice President of Accounting and Corporate Treasurer, Hicks, will now serve as Assistant Vice President, Underwriting and Nowak will serve as Assistant Vice President, IT.
John joined PLM in 2006 and has proven himself a powerful force in accounting ever since. In his first five years with PLM, John earned himself two promotions for his exceptional leadership qualities. John’s ability to maintain and build relationships and represent the best of PLM to fellow employees and external stakeholders is an invaluable asset to our organization.
Prior to joining PLM, John worked with several insurance carriers where he was instrumental in maintaining reliable and accessible accounting and finance reporting for reinsurers. John is a participant in PLM’s investment committees and works closely with PLM’s Board of Directors. He is a member of the AM Best Committee and active with PAMIC and NAMIC Committees, as well as an active participant in PLM’s softball team and philanthropic initiatives.
Since joining PLM in 2012 as an Underwriting Assistant, Steve has quickly made his way up the PLM ladder with his strong analytical abilities, his impressive people skills and his dedication to continuous learning. Steve most recently served as director of underwriting where he led his team to success, offered mentorship with a broad perspective and made several notable contributions to PLM, including our Wildfire Strategy. Steve recently completed his master’s in business administration at Temple University’s Fox School of Business, is the Treasurer of the Philadelphia Chapter of CPCU and has served on various committees including The Ward Group and The Underwriting Workbench.
Ed Nowak has been an integral part of PLM’s information technology operations, leading PLM to streamline business and IT operations with technology automation. In his most recent role as director of IT Applications Delivery, Nowak’s efforts transformed our data operations to a strategic asset offering a rich data set specific to the lumber niche. The IT team’s contributions to PLM have great improved our efficiency, customer service experience, reduced monthly close times and much more. Most recently, Ed implemented our business intelligence project WoodWorks, helping reconcile nearly 10 years of data across several systems.
Prior to joining PLM, Ed worked as a system developed, a business relationship manager for commercial underwriting and several IT leadership roles. He is currently studying for his CPCU.
We are proud to congratulate John, Steve and Ed on their well-deserved promotions. All three of these PLM team members are prime examples of our organization’s dedication to professionalism and growth.
